Pair driven from their home of many years; female died as a result of flying into power lines and male recovered from nearby meadow &#8211; very forlorn &#8211; taken into care.<br \/>\n22nd January; Cob with fishing line at Pwll-y-Waun, Porthcawl. Unable to catch, but later appeared to free itself.<br \/>\nGull caught in fishing line at Eastville Park, Bristol; freed by m.o.p. who stripped off and went in for it; well done brave man.<br \/>\nTerritorial dispute at Cwmbran Boating Lake.<br \/>\n25th January; Call from Celtic Manor re juvenile with broken leg (probable golf ball impact &#8211; its happened before!); attended but unable to catch &#8211; he can fly perfectly well.<br \/>\n26th January; to St. Georges Park Bristol &#8211; juvenile not feeding because he was found to have fishing line forming a chip strap; resolved in situ.<br \/>\n27th January; Tawny Owl with severe muscle strain in one wing\/shoulder as a result of prolonged suspension from branch of tree by fishing line &#8211; R. Sirhowy, Blackwood.<br \/>\n28th.
